Gizlilik Politikası

Son güncelleme: 23 Eylül 2026

Meridian hiçbir kişisel veriyi toplamaz, hiçbir sunucuya göndermez, satmaz veya üçüncü taraflarla paylaşmaz.

Uygulamanın kendi sunucusu yoktur. Hesap açmanızı istemez, reklam göstermez, analiz veya izleme aracı içermez. Namaz vakitleri, kıble yönü ve Kur'an metni cihazınızda, çevrimdışı çalışır.

Tek istisna Kur'an kayıtlarıdır: bir kâriyi dinlediğinizde veya indirdiğinizde ses dosyası quran.com'un sunucularından alınır. Ayrıntısı aşağıda.

İşlenen veriler

Konum bilgisi

Uygulama koordinatlarınızı bu servise verir; servis bunu çoğu cihazda çevrimiçi çözümler; yani koordinatlarınız bu sırada Android'in sağlayıcısına ulaşır. Meridian sonucu yalnızca ekrandaki yer adını yazmak için kullanır, hiçbir yere kaydetmez ve göndermez. Bu servis Android'in kendi bileşenidir, Meridian'ın kontrolünde değildir ve işletim sisteminizin gizlilik ayarlarına tabidir. Konumu elle seçerseniz bu istek hiç yapılmaz.

Kur'an kayıtları

Toplanmayan veriler

Uygulama; adınızı, e-posta adresinizi, telefon numaranızı, rehberinizi, fotoğraflarınızı, cihaz kimliğinizi, reklam kimliğinizi veya kullanım istatistiklerinizi toplamaz.

İzinler ve kullanım amaçları

Tüm izinler isteğe bağlıdır ve istediğiniz zaman cihaz ayarlarınızdan geri alınabilir. Bir izni vermediğinizde yalnızca ilgili özellik devre dışı kalır, uygulamanın geri kalanı çalışmaya devam eder.

İzinNeden gerekli
KonumACCESS_FINE_LOCATION Namaz vakitlerini ve kıble yönünü hesaplamak

İnternetINTERNET Kur'an kayıtlarını dinlemek ve indirmek; işletim sisteminin adres çözümleme servisi; hava durumunu açtıysanız api.met.no

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Meridian collects no personal data, sends nothing to any server, and neither sells nor shares any data with third parties.

The app has no backend of its own. It requires no account, shows no advertising, and contains no analytics or tracking SDKs. Prayer times are calculated on your device, offline.

Data processed

Location

Prayer times and qibla direction are calculated from your geographic location.

  • When you grant location permission, your device's GPS/network location is used only in memory on your device, at the moment of calculation.
  • Meridian sends your location to no server of its own and to no third party; the app has no server. The single exception is the operating system's address-resolution service described below.
  • If you prefer not to grant location permission, you can pick your country, province and district manually in Settings and use the app fully without it.
  • To display a readable place name (for example “Kadıköy, İstanbul”) the app uses your operating system's own address-resolution service. The app hands your coordinates to that service, which on most devices resolves them online — so your coordinates reach Android's provider at that moment. Meridian uses the answer only to print the place name on screen; it stores and sends nothing. The service is an Android component outside Meridian's control and is governed by your OS privacy settings. If you pick your location manually, the request is never made.

Qur'an recitations

When you play a sura, or download one for offline use, the app requests the audio file from quran.com. Like any web request, that carries your IP address to the receiving server; the app sends nothing else — no identity, no account, no device identifier and no location.

Downloaded recitations are stored only on your device and can be removed from Settings › Reading › Downloads. If you never listen, the app never makes the request.

The Qur'an text, translations, the hadith selection and tajweed data are bundled inside the app; none of them cause a network request.

Weather (off by default)

If you want the temperature on the home screen widget, you switch it on in Settings > Widget settings. No weather request is made until you do. Once on, your location — rounded to about a kilometre, so at neighbourhood scale — is sent to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute's open service (api.met.no). Nothing else is sent: no account, no identifier, no device number. The request is made when you open the app and at prayer-time transitions, never on a background timer.

Settings stored on your device

Your language, theme, calculation method, notification preferences, dhikr records and manually chosen location are stored only in your device's own storage. They are deleted along with the app and are not backed up anywhere, other than your device's own system backup.

Data not collected

The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, device identifier, advertising ID or usage statistics.

Permissions and why they are needed

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time from your device settings. Denying one disables only the corresponding feature; the rest of the app keeps working.

PermissionPurpose
LocationACCESS_FINE_LOCATION Calculating prayer times and qibla direction
Post notificationsPOST_NOTIFICATIONS Showing prayer-time and pre-prayer reminders
Exact alarmSCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM Delivering the notification at the exact minute of the prayer time
Do Not Disturb accessACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY Only if you enable it: silencing the phone during prayer
VibrateVIBRATE Feedback for the dhikr counter and qibla alignment
Run at startupRECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Re-establishing notification schedules after a reboot
InternetINTERNET Playing and downloading Qur'an recitations; the OS address-resolution service; api.met.no if you turn weather on

The app also offers a shortcut to your phone's battery optimisation settings. This is not a permission; it only opens the system's own list, and you make the choice there.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
